Our Children’s Services Department is one of the largest in the country. The Commissioning Team works with a whole host of departments across Childrens Services to help design services, source external providers and monitor the quality, effectiveness and cost of those services.
The Supported Internship Co-ordinator will be responsible for increasing the number and quality of supported internship opportunities in Derbyshire; thereby increasing the number of young people with Education Health Care plans moving on to paid employment. Ensuring that all professionals supporting young people with EHC plans will know about supported internships as a post 16 option and schools will implement employment pathways.
The post holder will work closely with DCC Preparing for Adulthood Lead, schools, colleges, DWP and local employers to oversee and co-ordinate models of a supported internship programmes in Derbyshire.
