Job Description

Priory Adult Care’s Trowbridge Services are looking to grow our already established and dedicated team of support workers / care assistants.

Our bank team are offered flexible hours to cover holidays, sickness or vacancies, and this is an ideal role for someone who is looking to boost their main income or work flexibly around other commitments whilst doing something fulfilling and rewarding within the local community. For someone who has some spare time on their hands this is a great opportunity to meet some amazing people and have fun whilst boosting your income.

Priory Adult Care's Trowbridge Services are a group of residential homes in the Newtown area, close to the train station. We support a group of amazing people who may have autism, learning disabilities and mental health conditions to live a full and rewarding life. We also provide an outreach service to people who are living independently in the community.

We have support worker roles that would suit people from all walks of life; every person we support is an individual with their own personality and their support is tailored to them. This could be support with cookery, shopping or exercise, helping with arts and crafts, gardening or woodwork. Watching a film, a walk to the park, a trip to the cinema or even a day out to Longleat or the beach - If any of these activities are a hobby you enjoy, then this role could be for you.

The people we support are looking for support workers who will:

  • Be reliable, friendly and caring to help them achieve their everyday goals (this may including personal care for some people)
  • Be able to support them with activities and hobbies
  • Be attentive and inspire them to achieve more!
  • Be resilient and help when things become a challenge for them
  • Be able to drive (although we do employ non-drivers too)

What we’ll give you:

  • A rewarding job, full of variety and opportunities for career development
  • Brilliant, ongoing training to help you achieve more
  • Support of an experienced and friendly team of colleagues
  • Access to our Career Pathways, which will help shape your career with us – you can work towards goals and milestones that will take your career in whichever direction you wish
