We are currently seeking a Production Planner to join our dedicated team in Operations.
The main purpose of your role will be to co-ordinate and expedite the flow of work and required materials according to daily and weekly production schedules ensuring productivity information is maintained.
Liaise with production Area Co-Ordinators / Leaders to determine progress of work and completion times, inventory levels and assist with problem solving within production when necessary
You will be responsible for and required to undertake the following duties.

Plan work and resources flexibly in own area, allocate tasks on a daily basis, making adjustments as necessary to meet scheduled production and company targets.

Constantly seek ways in which efficiency and yields can be increased and labour costs and waste can be reduced.

Apply problem solving techniques to resolve operating problems and recommend improvements to maintain operation running costs at planned level.

Follow H&S procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Maintain and apply a technical expertise to act as a point of reference for team members, to resolve complex problems and give the team direction.

Liaise and communicate with the team and other departments to keep them informed of progress, to resolve issues and to ensure the efficient running of the area.

Spreadsheets for all consumer customers.

Check previous day’s production and amend plans where necessary.

Coordinate and organise transfers from Redruth to Bodmin.

Close liasion with colleagues and management

Help to develop the Planning Tools further using Excel and Visual Basic
