In this role you will assist the well-established Group Financial Controller with the usual management accounting processes but with a twist as you will be implementing a new business partnering element into the team!

Summary of Role
As a qualified Accountant, you will be enjoying the flexibility of a hybrid working environment in a lovely and well-established Finance Team, reporting into the Group Financial Controller and will have the opportunity to make this role your own! Management Accounts will be your bread and butter but a key development to this role is to liaise with the business to strengthen relationships with Operations and across the organisation; raising the profile of Finance.
Brief summary of principle accountabilities
Management Accounting

Support the Group Financial Controller to process financial transactions accurately in order to produce the monthly management accounts in line with the month end timetable, for example, prepare and post prepayments, accruals, and payroll journals.

Balance sheet reconciliations including bank.

Provide support across all finance areas including purchase ledger, nominal ledger, banking, cash flow or petty cash in order to meet reporting deadlines.

Manage all aspects of the sales ledgers for the group companies, including the identification and raising of invoices, their revenue recognition and debt collection.

Active participation in the year end audit

Maintain pricing schedules for Digital / Commercial sales and update the corresponding sales product and order templates on Sage (/CRM).

Perform ad hoc analysis and investigations as and when required.
Business Partnering

Managing the end to end monthly reporting process of P&Ls to Department budget holders

Setting up a new monthly reporting process, with an aim for encouraging visibility, ownership and accountability of department budgets

Liaising with the business to strengthen relationships with Operations and across the business, raising the profile of Finance.
