Operations Director

YorSpace is a Social Enterprise in York. We’re building a tangible solution to York’s housing shortage – by creating financially and environmentally sustainable homes designed to deliver a real sense of community. We are a Community Benefit Society and a Community Land Trust, with a mission to pioneer replicable models of kinder, fairer housing with community at its heart. Our vision is to create socially, economically, and environmentally sustainable housing.
In this new role, our Operations Director will lead the development of the organisation and oversee the delivery of our first multi-million-pound housing project in the UK. In this role, you will identify and secure new opportunities for strategic partnerships and income generation and will maintain and further develop YorSpace’s excellent reputation.
You will have overall responsibility for all aspects of the organisation, including the development of our business plan, housing delivery, policy development, budgets, people management and stakeholder engagement.
If you have a proven track record of developing an organisation and formalising its systems and procedures, delivering to targets and deadlines we would love to hear from you. The ideal candidate will also have experience in managing people and contracts, be highly experienced in networking and relationship management and if possible have experience of developing Registered Provider systems.
This part-time role, working 15 hours a week is York based, offering a full-time equivalent salary of £47,000 to £50,000 per year.
