HMS GANNET is the Royal Navy's sole air station in Scotland. Providing operational support to military aviation, the unit offers a multifaceted working environment with a varied and challenging working day. The Operations Clerk is a pivotal role within the unit and combines planning, coordination and communications skills to ensure customers can operate safely and effectively.

Job description

The Operations Clerk's tasks include:

managing visits and coordinating flying programmes
supporting security related administration
carrying out routine administrative tasks
coordinating and managing SharePoint
handling incoming and outgoing mail
acting as the information support officer
acting as the unit's communications officer
supporting accommodation bookings when required
authorising aircraft landing fees when required

Person specification

The successful candidate will be a well motivated and driven person with excellent communication and organisational skills. Be able to operate as part of a team and also confident to provide advice and guidance to customers. The candidate will have a solid grasp of MS365 applications particularly Word, Excel and SharePoint.
