Background

The role is fixed term until June 2024 and is part time at 0.6fte.

The Sidney De Haan Research Centre for Arts and Health is committed to researching Arts for Health-Healthy Arts and the potential value of arts activities, in the promotion of wellbeing and health of individuals and communities.

The Role

A fixed term post is available to undertake research related activities in the Sidney De Haan Research Centre for Arts and Health, located in the Faculty of Medicine, Health, and Social Care. You will assist in various projects conducted by Centre staff and may contribute to all phases of allocated projects e.g. grant proposal, literature review, ethics including NHS/IRAS ethical approval applications, conduct of fieldwork, data analysis and writing up of results. Projects will be focused on arts and health and may involve mixed methods, quantitative and qualitative and statistical methodologies, literature searches and extended/systematic reviews.

The Person

You will be a confident researcher with the minimum of a Masters (MA, MSc or MSc by Research) qualification in a health-related field, such as psychology, nursing, public health, allied health and have prior experience of working on funded research projects using quantitative/qualitative methodologies and methods. You will also be able to demonstrable evidence of a contribution to report production and publication(s) in peer reviewed journals.
