25-37.5 hours/week (including extended hours).
Heaton Moor Medical Practice is looking for an experienced Healthcare Assistant who is enthusiastic, flexible and passionate about patient care, to join our friendly nursing team.
We are looking for someone with experience of working as a Healthcare Assistant in General Practice with knowledge of EMIS, who is well organised and able to work effectively as part of a team to deliver great patient care.
As a minimum, you will be expected to be competent in phlebotomy, blood pressure checks, urine testing, new patient checks, ECGs and immunisations.
You will be expected to provide a limited number of home visits to housebound patients when necessary.
We are committed to the personal development of our team so whilst higher level clinical/administrative competencies would be an advantage, we would also be interested in candidates who are keen to develop additional skills.
We are a well-established training practice caring for just over 52,000 patients in the Stockport area.
Our GP partners have a strong ethos in teaching and support and provide a proactive, team teaching and support and provide a proactive, team focused environment.
We are located in the Heaton Moor area of Stockport, with excellent roads and transport links.
Visits to the practice to meet the team are very welcome.
