Job Description
The Liphook Equine Hospital is a world-renowned, fully equipped, state-of-the-art equine veterinary referral hospital providing 24-hour specialist clinical care to horses, ponies and donkeys referred from our own practice and from veterinary practices across the UK. Numerous and varied diagnostic samples are submitted to our laboratory on a daily basis.
We are currently looking for a friendly and professional colleague to join our administrative team. Some familiarity of the equine industry is very useful although laboratory-related experience is not required. Duties are varied and include computer data entry, answering telephone queries, unpacking and logging submitted samples, packing and posting supplies to practices and liaising with veterinary surgeons and laboratory technicians. Salary and level of responsibility will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
This position is offered on a full-time permanent contract (Monday-Friday) and includes working alternate Saturdays for which time off in lieu is provided.
You will be based in the laboratory at the Liphook Equine Hospital (GU30 7JG) and due to the rural location independent transport is essential.
