The eastern region, which comprises 12 local authorities, is embarking on an exciting project to create a support offer for social care providers across the region undertaking international recruitment. The programme of work is funded by the International Recruitment Fund, through the Department of Health and Social Care.
The aim of the work is to develop shared solutions to local challenges facing social care providers undertaking international recruitment and strengthen safeguards against exploitation.
This is a fantastic short-term opportunity to lead a new programme working across the whole region to develop a long-term asset. The work will strengthen ethical recruitment and employment practices and support care providers to more easily access international recruitment and provide recruits and existing teams with access to training to provide a good experience for the workforce and deliver quality care.
We are looking for an experienced project manager who can provide strong leadership for the programme, working in a collaboration with a core team and the region’s twelve authorities. As a regional project it will be essential that the post holder is able to build and maintain strong working relations with the partnership councils, delivery partners and the relevant government team. Effective engagement with care associations, care providers and the social care workforce will be a vital part of the role to ensure workable solutions that can meet the challenges that have been identified.
