Job Role:
We have an opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant to join us within our business, one which is integral to our next phase of growth.
This role will be based at the wider Group Head Offices in Alderley Edge with c.1 day a week on site in the Manchester City Centre buildings working closely with the operational team.
This role will provide key financial support to the core business, along with support for the onsite restaurant and café. You will be responsible for preparing the month-end revenue workings, reconciling revenue with bank payments, assisting in the preparation of the management accounts and supporting with other month end tasks. The role is dynamic with potential opportunities for candidates to gain exposure with budgeting, forecasting and investor reporting.
Responsibilities & Duties:
· Preparation of the revenue workings for the operating entities.
· Reconciliation of revenue recorded against cash received.
· Review of debtor’s position, working closely with Sales team.
· Take ownership over the general ledger accounting of development companies.
· Assist in budget preparation and forecasting.
· Build relationships with corporate clients and undertake periodic credit assessments.
· Lead on the implementation of new business processes (i.e. ABID charge reconciliation).
· Preparation of timely and accurate information, including management accounts, to a variety of stakeholders.
· Assist in the development of effective cost control measures, in order to manage a substantial and complex volume of cost transactions.
· Assist in the calculation and reporting of investor return payments.
· Support the wider business by undertaking ad-hoc duties.
· Additional tasks as required to support the growth of the business.
Reporting:
This role will report to the Finance Manager with performance indicators including:
· Ensuring all daily and monthly tasks are performed accurately and on a timely basis.
· Reconciliations completed in a timely manner.
· Identifying efficiency savings in role, leading to process improvements.
· Compliance with investor and lender reporting requirements and timetables.
Experience & Skills:
The ideal candidate will:
· Have a strong academic record.
· Be part qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent).
· Have experience with SAGE 200, although not essential.
· Have previous experience in a similar role.
· Have experience working with multiple companies and the ability to see the big picture.
· Have attention to detail with an analytical, problem-solving approach.
· Have excellent communication skills.
