Job description:
I am a mother to a teenage boy who has a traumatic brain injury, a diagnosis of autism and a learning disability. I am looking to employ a female and male personal assistant who can be flexible in their work and assist with various activities.
Part of the job would consist of taking my son out to social events such as, football and badminton which are some of his favourites activities. Also, to engage with his interest in Doctor Who, History and keeping in touch with his friends. There would be the possibility of supporting to take him to college and supporting to ensure he is settled before departing.
Another part of the job would entail support with personal care, managing domestic tasks, meal preparation and the administration of medication.
The ideal candidates would be flexible with the ability to complete occasional weekend, evening and overnight work. A nurturing nature is needed, with previous experience working as a nursey nanny, teacher or experience with complex needs and autism. Each day can be different so it is important to be able to think on your feet and adapt to any given situation.
