Slimming World is the UK’s leading weight management organisation, helping members lose weight in our community-based groups around the UK and Ireland and online through our digital programme.
We’re recruiting a talented and enthusiastic Communications Assistant to join our Writing & Communications team. In this role you’ll support the team to deliver inspiring, brand building and multi-channel communications for members, our self-employed Consultants and Head Office teams, using a variety of media, including our regular Consultant magazine, staff newsletter, training manuals, email, letter and websites.
Your role with us…
It’s an exciting and varied position. You’ll work with various teams across Head Office and the Field to gather, collate and catalogue content, edit and adapt copy for our different audiences, help keep our wealth of features gorgeously up-to-date, accurate and consistent, play a part in communicating key messages… and much more!
About you…
This is a new role, ideally suited to someone who’d love to develop their communications and planning skills within a busy team. You’ll have a natural flair for, and a keen interest in writing, possibly with a qualification or experience to match. And most crucially you’ll be a team player with a passion for helping others, a dazzling can-do attitude and a desire to learn about every aspect of our business.
We’d really love to hear from you if you also:
- communicate in a naturally warm and effective way (always with a dash of humour!), and with empathy, kindness and understanding.
- demonstrate good planning, organisational and prioritising skills
- have basic understanding of content management systems
- are proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
- have an eagerness to better understand the work we do to touch hearts and change lives, and the drive to help us to help many more people lead a happier and healthier life
