Ilfracombe Aquarium Ltd is a small established business, (22 years) in Ilfracombe, EX34 9EQ. We are social and fast-paced. Our goal is to provide a happy and healthy working environment which will then ultimately be passed onto our valued customers through excellent customer care. We are looking for someone to join an established friendly team at the Ilfracombe Aquarium. The successful candidate needs to be able to work at least until early October.
The work covers 3 areas and the successful candidate needs to be confident to cover all areas. These comprise of preparing food and drink and serving cafe customers, maintaining and processing the retail area and meeting, greeting and introducing the aquarium to visitors with a short presentation.
The work is varied and is at a high pace. The successful candidate needs to be energetic with a good level of fitness. Team work is essential.
The candidate must be willing to learn new skills, be honest, reliable and a good communicator with good attention to detail and presentation.
We are open at least 10 months a year and the work hours can vary due to the seasonal nature of the business. They can vary between 10 am - 3.30 pm out of season to 8.30 am - 6.30 pm during the peak season. The rota is always done 2 weeks in advance.
The successful candidate needs to be able to work at weekends, ideally we try to operate an alternate weekend working schedule.
We are looking for staff who can work 2 - 5 days a week.

Salary: £9.50-£11.00 per hour
