Job Description
Production Operator
Norbar Torque Tools Ltd., the world leading torque tool manufacturer are looking to recruit a Production Operator to support our night shift in Torque Wrench Manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
· Operating a robotic welder, press machine and light assembly work.
· Operating punch stations and supporting the operation of automated machinery to produce medium to large size batches of work in a timely manner.
· Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
· Inspecting work to Engineering drawings using various measuring equipment and reporting any quality defects to the Shift Manager/Cell Leader.
· Regular maintenance checks on work equipment, including maintaining good housekeeping standards, 6S requirements and reporting any issues promptly to Shift Manager/Cell Leader.
· Liaising with Production Engineering, Quality and Shift Manager/Cell Leader in problem solving and determining maximum efficiency.
Occasionally you will be expected to cover:
· Prepare parts for paint (powder coating) operation.
Welding experience would be advantageous but not essential. Training can be given to the right candidate.
You will bring to the role good communication skills and the ability to question sub-standard product/processes, raising issues through the Process Improvement Request (PIR) or Continuous Improvement (CI) systems. The varied workload will require a flexible attitude towards tasks.
In return for a 39-hour week, we can offer a starting hourly rate of £12.28 plus 33% shift premium.
