CAD Technical Designer (Project & Sales Support)
Location: Burgess Hill, West Sussex
Salary: Competitive salary - commensurate with experience/qualifications
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

We are recruiting for an experienced CAD Technical Designer (Project & Sales Support) to join our team in Burgess Hill, West Sussex. There is the potential to work partly from home depending on experience and knowledge after successful product and systems training.
We’re looking for an excellent communicator with great organisational and technical design skills to assist in the design, costing, planning and delivery of projects across the UK. Whilst the position is part of a larger team the ability to work independently is a requirement.
We are an expanding company with excellent staff retention.
Responsibilities:
- Advising our sales team and clients alike on project requirements and design solutions.
- Design, drawing and estimating of proposed projects for quote/tender purposes.
- Technical coordination of projects.
- Processing orders accurately to reflect specified designs and product specifications.
- Delivery of projects to customer satisfaction through to completion.
- Working to deadlines and within budgets
Requirements:
- Fluency in English language with excellent communication (written & verbal) skills.
- Proficient in AutoCAD with appropriate experience (> 5 years) & Microsoft Office software.
- CAD Qualification in one of BTEC/HNC/HND/NVQ or degree level.
- Sound knowledge of engineering principles, manufacturing processes and construction methods.
- Meticulous and highly organised with a keen attention to detail and ability to prioritise.
- Excellent numeracy and computer skills.
- Technically minded with knowledge of material properties.
- ‘Can do’ attitude and creative thinker capable of analysing, summarising and planning.
Preferred additional requirements:
- Experience in the storage materials handling sector.
- Supervisory or management experience.
- Working knowledge of Revit / BIM (Building Information Modelling) software.
- Experience of working with/ for architects / structural engineers / construction companies
