We have an exciting opportunity for a Design & Technical Trainee to join our team within Countryside Partnerships Merseyside & Cheshire West. As our Design & Technical Trainee you will provide administrative support to the Technical team in the planning, co-ordination and design functions on each allocated project from tender to post contract.

4 GCSEs A-C/4-9. Two of these should be Maths and English.

A minimum of a Level 3/BTEC Diploma/2 A Levels
-
Experience and understanding of maintaining Technical schedules
-
Excellent attention to detail
-
Confident at engaging with design consultants and site management teams
-
Able to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external partners
-
Strong IT skills and experience of using computers, preferably Excel, Power Projects & Word
-
Able to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision in an administrative capacity
-
Professional communication style with the ability to work within a team of varying seniority within the business
-
Relevant built environment construction qualification (desirable)

You must have an indefinite right to work in the UK, on a permanent, full time basis

Update and co-ordinate monthly bond schedule.
-
Update and co-ordinate monthly adoption schedules
-
Update and co-ordinate half yearly ESE Report.
-
Assist with setting up central utility contact list for admin on gas/electric meters, connections, diversions and new call offs.
-
Assist the Technical Managers with checking of all drawings including flat types/bathroom layouts/kitchen layouts.
-
Monitor sub-contractor design approvals and keep up dated approvals schedule in line with build programme.
-
Monitor and obtain all critical certificates to ensure documentation is in place for handovers
-
e. air tests/MCS/EPC’s and CML’s.
-
Liaise with Building Control and Warranty Provider to discharge any conditions.
-
Assist with coordinating information to discharge planning conditions
-
Update monthly water and electricity reports.
-
Assist with applying for postal addresses and MPAN’s and MPRN’s
-
Assist with obtaining section agreements and technical approvals
-
Coordinate information flow and updates on Document Management System
-
Attend site meetings as required to assist the Technical Manager
-
Collate and respond to RFI’s in liaison with the Technical Manager
