We are a collegiate, sociable and fun-loving team, passionate about getting the right results for our business, customers and colleagues.

You will be an experienced data protection practitioner, ideally with at least 2 years’ experience at Head of level or equivalent. Evidence of strong communication skills managing senior stake holders advising on and helping to shape RAC’s digital and data strategy.

This is a hybrid role working 2 days a week in the office based from either of our Bescot or Bradley Stoke locations.

  • Leading the response to personal data breaches including acting as the point of contact for the ICO.
  • Keeping senior management up to date with new developments and gaps in the Group’s compliance programmes in relation to data protection.
  • Reviewing and advising on Data Protection Impact Assessment.
  • Maintaining our records of data processing.
  • Liaising with suppliers and our partner organisations regarding Data Protection compliance and enquiries.
  • Overseeing RAC’s handling of GDPR requests.

Qualifications

Preferable if you are CIPP-E or similar qualifications, the successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the Data Protection Act, UK GDPR and e-Privacy Regulation and ideally come from an Insurance background.

You will show excellent judgment making skills and have experience in leading a team

In return, we offer a competitive salary and on target annual company bonus, free RAC breakdown cover and a range of other flexible employee benefits for you to choose from alongside:
