We are looking for a fabulous Housekeeper/Nanny for a lovely family in London. This family of five are looking to hire a hardworking and professional candidate to help maintain a high level of cleanliness in their 6-bedroom home in Belgravia.
This role will mainly focus on housekeeping while providing support for the full-time nanny on occasion. Your housekeeping duties will include laundry and ironing, taking in deliveries, and putting away grocery orders. You will be running errands for the family including organising dry-cleaning, going to the post office, as well food preparation on occasion. You will need to have excellent knowledge of how to care for luxury furnishings, delicate fabrics, and high-end finishes such as marble, stone, and wood.
You should be confident with childcare as you will also be required to care for the children (16-year-old and 3-year-old twins). The family are looking for someone that is fun, energetic and loves sports as this is something that is important to them. Assisting with bed and bath routines, creating age-appropriate activities, and helping out at meal times are some of the childcare responsibilities.
You will be working as part of a team alongside a full-time nanny and a chef so being a team player is a must. The family also hire a weekend housekeeper.
Experience in both housekeeping and childcare as well as having excellent longevity is highly desirable for this role as the client is looking to hire someone long-term. The ideal candidate will be organised, able to use their initiative and plan ahead, managing their time effectively to ensure the smooth running of the household.
This is a live-in role working Monday to Saturday. Accommodation will be a self-contained flat in the basement of the property. You will have a private bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living area.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
· Cleaning and tidying all areas of the house
· Laundry and ironing, including delicates care
· Unpacking deliveries
· Packing and unpacking suitcases
· Running errands
· Rubbish and recycling management
· Ad-hoc duties as required
· Meal-prep as and when needed
· Child care as and when needed
· Create a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment for the children to grow and thrive
· Be flexible with the varying daily schedule and become an asset to the family
· Be proactive in communicating with parents to ensure their needs are being met
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
· Prior housekeeping and childcare experience
· Full, clean UK driving license
· Fluency in English
· Eligibility to work in the UK
· Hardworking, flexible and dedicated
· High attention to detail
· Excellent checkable references
