Baycroft is a collection of luxury care homes with a unique difference. For us care is more than a word. It’s a culture. All profit made by Baycroft is used to build affordable homes and support communities across London and the Southeast.

Baycroft Orpington is a CQC rated care home that offers residential, nursing and dementia care. We put the needs of residents and their families at the heart of everything we do. For our employees, we offer a friendly, collaborative workplace and the chance to build a rewarding career.

We are now recruiting a dynamic Care Assistant to join our Care team and support us in delivering nutritious food and market-leading care to our residents. Along with previous experience as a Care Assistant, you should be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in caring for vulnerable adults.

  • Providing fantastic development opportunities through your enrolment in One Academy, our in-house learning and development offering
  • Paying you to give back to our communities through two fully paid volunteer days at our services
  • Rewarding your hard work through our colleague recognition programme and a career break after three years of service
  • Providing 24/7 counselling and support services to you and your family, and allowing you to claim back cash for some healthcare costs

And in return, you will be responsible for:
  • Assisting our residents with their daily personal care needs whilst promoting their dignity and individuality
  • Helping our residents with their hygiene, mobility, and physical comfort
  • Ensuring that our residents eating and drinking needs are met
  • Reporting to our dedicated nurse team regarding any illness, accident or event incurred by our residents, colleagues, or visitors
  • Undertaking observations of our residents and document this as necessary in their care plans
  • Offering ongoing comfort to our residents who may be ill or requiring care at the end of their life, whilst making sure that their religious or cultural needs are fulfilled
