Contract: Permanent
Hours: 30 hours per week (4 shifts) predominantly on a rota basis (shifts 4pm – Midnight)
(Evening, Weekend and Bank Holiday Working Essential). 3 shifts would be considered
Salary: £28,618 to £30,280 pro rata per annum (unsocial hours enhancements included)

About the role
The Lighthouse offers support to people experiencing or at risk of a crisis, delivered in partnership between Solent Mind and Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. Following a successful pilot, this innovative service is expanding, and we are recruiting for additional members to join our team to help support even more people in our region. The Lighthouse offers face to face support at our Southampton centres alongside a remote service using text and telephone, through an integrated team of peer and nursing staff.

About you
As part of The Lighthouse team, you will play a vital part in supporting people experiencing or at risk of a mental health crisis, in partnership with mental health nursing colleagues from Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. This post will involve 4pm - 12 Midnight shifts on a rota basis which will include weekends and bank holidays. Unsocial hours enhancements have been applied in line with the NHS enhancement rates for all hours worked on weekends/bank holidays and after 8pm weekdays.
You will need to have personal, lived experience of a mental health issue, as well as the compassion and confidence to calmly and effectively support people who are distressed and/or in crisis, in person and by telephone and text.
