Job Description
A Malton-based FMCG business is currently looking for a Graduate Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will benefit from a competitive salary of up to £32,500 depending on experience, as well as 33 days holidays (including bank holidays), life assurance, pension scheme and benefits portal.
You will be joining a successful and growing FMCG business on their established Business Performance Team and will be completing product costings and maintaining accurate models for the various sites.
Reporting into the Manager of Business Performance, the successful Graduate Accountant will:
- Product costing for new and existing products.
- Building and maintaining costing models/bills of material.
- Providing information on product costs, including “what if” analysis to aid decision-making.
- Working with New Product Development to assess cost implications on products/product changes.
- Evaluating alternatives and advice on the cost impacts of the options.
- Supporting the department on inflation calculations to assist with inflation recovery.
- Provide analysis to assist with customer tenders.
- Ad-hoc project work.
To be successful in this Graduate Accountant position you must have/be:
- Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel skills, e.g. experience in VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Pivot tables etc.
- Able to understand and work with numbers, with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
The role would suit a Junior/Trainee/Graduate Accountant who is looking to develop their skills in a factory costing environment or somebody looking for/with Cost Accountant experience. I would be keen to speak Accountancy and Finance Graduate's looking for their first role post qualification.
This role is easily commutable via car and is commutable from Malton, Pickering, Scarborough, York, Norton, Rillington, Sherburn, Filey, Bridlington and surrounding areas. This role also offers free parking on-site. Whilst this role is based in Malton, this role can also be done out of this business's Grimsby's site.
