3-6 month role with large well known brand
My client is a large FMCG based in the Reading area who are in need of support for the next few months. The role will require a candidate who is immediately available/on a short term notice (up to 2 weeks) as the client needs someone who can hit the ground running.
The key responsibilities for the role are:

Manage the completion of UK GAAP statutory accounts (including preparing some more complex elements)
- Lease accounting and US to UK GAAP adjustments
- Implementation of any new statutory reporting requirements under FRS101 for all UK legal entities (when arrived)
- Key contact with KPMG (external advisors) for statutory audits
- Support the UK Tax Manager with the completion of the UK corporation tax computations and returns, with key involvement in preparing and reviewing the more detailed and complex areas such as pensions, fixed assets and other expenses
- Identify and assist in remediating any weaknesses and implementing simplification and continuous improvement activities within the Statutory and tax accounting processes
The successful candidate will need:

To be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA)
- Experience and confident with UK GAAP and IFRS and UK statutory reporting requirements
- US GAAP and FRS101 knowledge would be an advantage
- Experience with Oracle and SAP
- Corporation tax accounting experience an advantage
- To be immediately available, soon to be, or on a short term notice (up to 2 weeks)

3-6 month day rate contract with potential for extension/alternate opportunities across the business
- Flexible working with 1/2 days per week in the office, with the view to relax this once settled into the team and the role
- Day rate up to circa £425pd via umbrella or PAYE equivalent (£365pd)
