ABP Yetminster is one of the biggest lamb processors in the UK specialising in the premium cuts and best quality lamb products. Our teams of experienced and reliable meat experts are passionate about building lasting partnerships in the European retail, manufacturing and food service sectors. Producing a full range of high-quality lamb and mutton from whole carcass to graded cuts for retail and food service customers. This includes `Dorset Crown` which is a range of premium products local to the area which are processed and packed at the Yetminster site.
We are based in Dorset, close to the town Yeovil and our commitment is to produce the best quality products and our determination is to surpass expectation that`s earned us our market-leading position.
We are looking for people keen to begin or continue their career in food sector and currently we are recruiting for Wholesale Packers to join our Wholesale team.
Role Definition:
To work as part of the Wholesale team to ensure all products are correctly packed in accordance with customer and site specifications
Carry out final check of packed products to ensure item packed is correct and weight specified match customer order
At end of shift ensure work area is tidy and clear
Ensure customer [internal and external] company and site compliance
Comply with company policy and procedure on safe food handling and hygiene at all times
Undertake any other reasonable requests made
Report any accidents/absences are reported inline with site reporting procedures
Carry out all tasks in a safe manner in accordance with attached H&S responsibilities
Able to work under own initiative
Be a team player
Have basic understanding of Food Safety you will attend training as part of your role to achieve Level 2 Food Safety
Can do attitude with good communication skills and a basic understanding of verbal and written English
