We are looking for a Goods in Assistant for a permanent position based on Leeds.
Immediate Start available (Subject to interview process).
Salary is depending on experience.
Duties/Responsibilities: -
- Raise purchase orders for miscellaneous items as requested.
- Conduct monthly stock taking activities, review stock check sheets to identify stock errors and items at re-order point and raise orders / purchase requisitions in line with latest Reorder Quantities policy.
- Establish and manage call-off / consignment stock ensuring component availability while keeping obsolete stock exposure to a minimum.
- BBN Stock Management.
- Manage shortage exception reports to identify and expedite deliveries of key components in line with agreed production deadlines.
- Ensure that all new and existing items are purchased with product codes entered on EFACS, while maintaining & improving existing MRP system.
- Coordinate Book-in, GRN / PO Matching and Filing activities in line with company policy.
- Responsible for the packing, weighing, labelling, booking pickups & tracking of all DHL orders.
- Introduce location standardisation. And assume responsibility for maintaining the accuracy of stored parts and their locations, ensuring traceability at all times.
- Conduct agreed Quality Assurance audits on all incoming components, record results and highlight deviation from specification.
- Assist with supplier audits.
- Pick components and prepare production Kit of Parts in line with production schedule;
- Co-ordinate packaging & transport for finished goods dispatch by using and developing appropriate packaging materials to meet customer and business QC requirements;
- To co-ordinate housekeeping activities for:
- Goods Inwards.
- Goods Inwards Yard Area.
- Snow Clearing and gritting activities of back yard & card park.
- organisation of stores and job squares
- Loading & unloading.
- QAD paperwork for Copper, Core & windings and Cylinders.
- Ordering and checking skips (weighing of copper skip before BWS collection);
- Labelling of all radiators.
- Weekly Gas, Oil, IBC, Midel & oil Drum & Technical checks on cylinders.
- Weekly Collection & Issuing of sores requisition sheets and new oil sheets.
- Liaise and handle all Apogee Printers issues and ordering of supplies.
- Kanban Management (Including: - Quotes for new Kanban items, etc);
- Vending Machine Management (Including: - Checking usage reports to check for misuse, cost savings, periodically refresh training with Apex and the software for the vending machines, set up new profiles for new starters so they can use the vending machines);
- Movement of gasket bench and application of new system to ensure better production.
- Heat shrinking of items being sent out;
- Volunteered to help out (work over) in other departments to help out when busy.
- To assist with site security duties during extraordinary out of hours working, annual leave or other absences.
- Issuing uniform & PPE;
- Organise annual Christmas events for shop floor staff.
- Carry out any reasonable ad-hoc duties requested by your direct Line Manager or the Management Team.
