About the Role
With a focus on health and safety at all times, the Assistant Manager will drive the visitor experience, ensure the centre is clean and well-presented and will carefully control operating costs in line with the operating calendar and visitor volume.
Managing and overseeing a team, this role will motivate and lead a team to ensure they are fully engaged in delivering the best visitor experience possible.
This is a varied role which will involve working in all areas and departments, including Duty Management shifts.
Based in Romford, this is a full-time permanent position and will work any five days out of seven. The salary for this role is between £28,000 - £30,000/annum, plus team benefits.
About the Person
We are looking for a strong Assistant Manager who is:
- A proven people manager who leads by example and is happy to be hands on
- Passionate about delivering the best visitor experience
- Focused on health and safety, employee engagement, the visitor experience, and cleanliness
- Able to respond to visitor feedback and issues and ensure a positive outcome
- Dynamic, creative and solutions focused
- Organized, structured and always striving for excellence and continuous improvement
- Well presented, confident and outgoing
- Comfortable working in a very fast paced environment
- Previous experience of working in a visitor attraction/venue is highly attractive
First Aid and IOSH certificates desirable for this role but not essential.
DBS checks will be required for this role.
