Job Description

An exciting opportunity in a Community Mental Health Team for a Occupational Therapy Technician at a Band 4 level.

The Occupational Therapy Technician role has been established to carry out occupational based plans that have been developed by Occupational Therapists to enable to promote recovery and rehabilitation.

Service users who access this service experience mental health conditions of varying degree and severity. Your role will involve working with them to assist them through rehabilitation towards independence, increased functional capacity and self-management. The role aims to support Allied Health Professions providing a service that promotes occupational rehabilitation and offers the ability to address patient’s goals therapeutically enabling flexibility, adaptability and most of all person centred care.

Key aspects will include promoting independence, transforming transitions and influencing health and wellbeing in order to help individuals rebuild and manage their lives. Interventions delivered would include a range of groups and individual treatment.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
