Role overview

As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for several subsidiaries in the Group and will report to the Group Financial Controller. The main purpose of the role is to produce monthly management accounts and yearly statutory accounts for these subsidiaries. You will work closely within a team of 3 management accountants, but will lead on process improvement and driving change through the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reporting and explaining key business drivers of monthly financial results
• Understanding local accounting, reporting and compliance requirements
• Ensuring timely payment and lodging of statutory returns (e.g. VAT, Corporation tax, Stat accounts).
• Analysing actual v budget performance and reporting to executive budget owners on operating costs
• Continuous improvement of reporting and sharing best practice across all areas of Kelkoo finance

Your duties will also involve:

• Leading on group-wide gross margin analysis
• Cost of Sales analysis and reporting
• Monthly performance report for Budget holders
• Balance sheet reconciliations, preparation and review
• Year-end audit and statutory accounts
• Providing support and guidance to other members of the Finance team
• Assisting in the budgeting process and meeting re-forecasting requirements

Candidate overview

Experience and Skills

• Part-Qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA)
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, pan-European experience preferred
• Knowledge of SUN systems desirable but not essential
• Superior technical accounting skills

• Discreet when handling confidential information

Languages

Fluent English is essential; other European languages would be a plus.
