Personal Assistant

I am an elderly man who lives in Galashiels with my wife. I suffer with MND. I’m looking for

PA(s) to assist with personal care/washing/dressing to reduce the risk of slips and falls and

also someone who can support me to let my wife have some much needed respite, whilst

encouraging as much independence as possible.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Assistance to rise, wash and dress

• Prepare and serve breakfast

• Toileting/fluid visits

• Prepare and serve lunch

• Prepare and serve supper

• Assist to bed, wash and change

• Be available to cover respite

Hours of work are Flexible

• Morning visit 8.30am to 10.00am

• Toilet/fluid visit 11.30am to 12.00pm

• Lunch visit 1.00pm to 2.00pm

• Toilet/fluid 4.00pm to 4.30pm

• Supper visit 6.30pm to 7.30pm

• Bed visit 8.45pm to 9.45pm

• Times to suit both main carer and suitable candidate

The terms

• £12.00 per hour

• 5.6 weeks annual leave on a pro rata basis

• PVG/ References required
