Job Description
My well established and well known family run Gloucester based business are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Management Accountant to join thier team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial insights and recommendations that help management make informed business decisions. The Management Accountant will report to the Finance Manager and work closely with other members of the finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts and provide commentary on any variances to budget or forecast
· Partner with business units to ensure that budgets and forecasts are accurate and aligned with business objectives
· Create financial models and scenarios to support decision-making, including sensitivity analysis and cash flow forecasting
· Develop and maintain KPI dashboards to monitor business performance and identify trends
· Provide support to senior management on ad-hoc projects and initiatives
· Manage the month-end close process, including accruals and prepayments
· Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial reporting standards
Requirements:
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
This role would suit a formally qualified accountant aswell as one qualified by experience .
