Financial Controller - £90,000 - £100,000 + Bonus - Middlesex (onsite)
Trace Recruit is delighted to be supporting the CFO of a leading business services organisation, who is on the hunt for a qualified Financial Controller.
Our client is an industry leader, delivering innovative solutions to their clients. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to ensure internal controls are in place, perform monthly and quarterly reporting, prepare statutory accounting and engage with the auditors.
About Your New Role
- Manage and coach a financial transaction team to ensure that Treasury, Payables, billing and Credit Control are timely, effective and accurate.
- Completion of timely and accurate production of month end management accounts.
- On time and accurate monthly submission & reporting to Head Office
- Liaising with the international accounting team, including monthly accounting reporting.
- Overseeing quarterly consolidation
- Cash flow forecasting sufficient to manage future funding requirements and subsidiaries, including managing banking relationships.
- Manage year end statutory accounts process including liaising with External auditors and preparation of statutory accounts.
- Ensure accounting policies are followed in accordance with accounting policy manual.
- Ensure proper processes and procedures to account for and submit on time HMRC taxes
- Ensure strict internal control processes to prevent fraud and ensure proper authorising of transactions in accordance with local authorities and corporate governance manual.
- Manage external insurances and claims processes.
- Liaising with audit and tax advisers
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting records.
- Support the preparation and review of the annual budget, forecasts and medium-term plans.
- Mentoring the finance team to develop and maintain the highest quality accounting habits and disciplines.
- Actively build and maintain strong relationships with finance and non-finance colleagues at all levels in the company.
Your Skills & Qualifications:
- Professional Accountancy Qualification ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
- Practical experience of financial and accounting processes
- Recent experience leading a large finance team.
- Approaches key projects, reporting/analysis with a strategic mindset.
