Milestone Infrastructure is currently looking to recruit an Installation Operative to work on our Street Lighting contract in Croydon & Lewisham
As a Street Lighting Installation Operative, you will be part of our Street Lighting Team who are responsible for Maintenance and installation of our Street Furniture in the Boroughs of Croydon & Lewisham
As a Street Lighting Installation Operative your duties & responsibilities will be:
- To visually and structurally inspect street lighting units or supply points
- To bulk lamp change and clean units externally and internally
- Act in accordance with all company and legislative Health &Safety requirements.
- Carry out reactive maintenance
- To ensure certificates are logged in a timely manner
- To update inventory information on assets using PDA’s/Tablets
- To log attendance within each unit and To collect CMS information
- To assist the street lighting test electrician as required
- Daily Vehicle checks are undertaken, and the vehicle is kept clean &Tidy
- To ensure members of the public are kept informed of works and dare not put in danger due to works being undertaken
- Undertake standby and call out duties
Skills & Knowledge Requirements:
MEWP category 1b
- NRSWA Unit 2 or equivalent
- Part 1/2 and or Level 2/3 Electrical Qualification desirable
Additional Information:
- An understanding of electrical and design drawings
- Must be flexible in approach to work in all weather and conditions
- Must be flexible in approach to location of work
- Night-time working may also be required
- Be able to work within a team or on own initiative
