Candidate Profile:
We are looking for a Storyteller Instructor who possesses the following qualities:
- Ability to read, tell, and animate stories in a dynamic, funny, and interactive way.
- Proficiency in incorporating music, instrumental music, and video projection to enhance storytelling experiences.
- Passion for working and interacting with children and parents.
- Excellent social skills.
- Ideal candidates include art and drama students or individuals with experience as kid storytellers.
- Knowledge of African, Indian, Native American, Chinese, Japanese, Pakistani, Nordic, and English stories for kids is highly desired.
Duties:
As a Storyteller Instructor, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting engaging storytelling sessions for children aged 1 to 7 years old in our OOliStory class.
- Reading and telling stories in a captivating and interactive manner.
- Incorporating music, instrumental music, and video projection to enhance the storytelling experience.
- Encouraging active participation and interaction from both children and parents.
- Creating a welcoming and inclusive environment that fosters imagination and a love for storytelling.
- Promoting the class through social media and flyers to increase attendance
Goals:
As our Storyteller Instructor, your primary goals will be to:
Spark children's imagination and curiosity through vibrant and entertaining storytelling sessions.
