Job Description
My client are seeking either an experienced field service engineer or someone ready to take the next step with a company that will develop them and provide lots of exciting work and career potential.
Working in Saltash, Cornwall or working in the field, as a service engineer, you will support our global customers with servicing, repairs and commissioning. Providing technical expertise, this role is around 50% based in Saltash and approx. 50% travel (25%UK/25% global)
This will include providing technical support and training on site engineers (either whilst onsite or remotely) in the use of our equipment ensuring customers have confidence in our equipment. You will also support with equipment building, testing and calibration.
UK Office responsibilities (Saltash)
Service and Repairs, Customer Support
- Complete servicing and repairs of customers equipment and machinery.
- Provide telephone and email support to Customers.
- Manage and maintain customer Helpdesk system / Helpdesk website.
- Develop articles for helpdesk website to enable customers to ‘help themselves’
- Continue the develop of servicing procedures and documentation to ensure CI always has an up to date and contemporaneous suite of documentation for all equipment.
- Testing and development
Test and calibrate machines and equipment
- Develop testing methods, equipment and documentation as required to enable the required tests and calibration activities to be undertaken
- Develop the work instructions for standard assembly and equipment manufacture.
Field based responsibilities
Servicing
- Carry out on-site servicing and repairs
- Carry out on-site upgrades and software updates to equipment
- Testing and calibration on completion of service
- Ensure compliance with servicing procedures and documentation
Commissioning
- Complete onsite installation and commissioning of supplied equipment within the UK and worldwide as required.
- Train onsite company engineers/operators and maintenance employees on the use and maintenance of our equipment.
- Ensure compliance with commissioning procedures and documentation.

Salary: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
