Some food/catering knowledge is preferred
The Responsibilities
Supporting the team as instructed including:
-
Processing dirty dishes, cutlery and equipment as per daily requirements

Hand washing as required
-
Ensuring maintenance of the dishwasher, correct use and cleaning in line with guidelines and Food Safety standards

Ensuring stock levels are maintained for required chemicals and cleaning equipment
-
Maintaining cleanliness of all kitchen areas including floors & surfaces
-
Disposal of rubbish including emptying bins, correct disposal of boxes
- Deep cleaning of fridges, freezers, storage areas and any other areas as instructed by chef or manager

Assisting with deliveries including accepting goods in, storage in line with Food Safety Policy

Control and record wastage
-
Undertaking routine & adhoc cleaning tasks to maintain the hygiene levels in the kitchen
Assist with table clearing and restocking crockery & cutlery when required
This list is not exhaustive; the candidate will be required to undertake some other duties to support the catering team as necessary
