Occasional/Bank hours/Casual available. This role is to cover annual leave and sickness only on an as-needed basis. Working across any day of the week as well including weekends.
Basic hourly rate - £10.74 per hour, up to £12.74 per hour with enhancement.
A night enhancement of £1.50 per hour will apply from 8pm to 7am Monday – Sunday (this does not apply to sleep-ins). A weekend day enhancement of £2.00 per hour will be paid from 7am to 8pm, Saturday and Sunday. This will be implemented on a trial basis.
In the quiet suburb of Jesmond in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Bradbury Wing is a home for 20 adults with physical disabilities.
As a Support Worker/Healthcare Assistant with Leonard Cheshire you’ll provide a high level of care and support to vulnerable people, enabling them to live the life they choose. You’ll assist with daily tasks including personal care, medication and assistance at mealtimes, motivating and encouraging choice and participation.
Experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant or Healthcare Assistant is desirable but not essential as we offer an excellent training and induction programme to get you fully trained in your new role!
