Job Title: Paralegal
Hours: Part time – full time available (up to 36.25 hours per week)
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £20,000 per annum (*full time equivalent)
Location: Head Office
Position Reports To: Head of Legal
Main Job Purpose & Scope:
To provide support to the Group’s Legal Department, working within a small team and assisting with their daily workload. Duties will include, but are not limited to, general administrative assistance, legal research, drafting policies and documentation, and dealing with routine and third-party enquiries and communications.
Areas of Practice:
· Employment Law (both contentious and non-contentious)
· Property Law (both contentious and non-contentious)
· Regulatory Compliance
· Commercial and Contract Law
The ideal candidate should:
· Ideally have experience in drafting legal documents and carrying out basic legal research
· Work proficiently with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel
· Possess strong oral and written communication skills
· Be able to effectively multi-task, manage time-sensitive matters and have exceptional organisational skills
· Comply with the Group’s Policies and Procedures and adhere to professional standards
· Adhere to the SRA’s requirements including their handbook and accounts rules
· Display great attention to detail and be open to receiving feedback
· Work successfully under pressure and meet deadlines, and be able to prioritise effectively and manage assigned tasks in an efficient and timely manner
· Be enthusiastic and ambitious with a strong desire to learn
Experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential. This role will be best suited to those currently enrolled on the LPC and looking to gain practical legal experience.
*There is scope for the successful candidate to be offered a Training Contract with the Company*
