3t Transform is currently looking to recruit a Digital Learning Content Script Writer on a permanent contract located in Aberdeen or Newcastle, UK.

The Role
As an experienced Digital Learning Content Script Writer within the learning content team, you will be responsible for researching, scoping and writing off-the-shelf and bespoke digital learning content (including e-learning and Virtual Reality (VR) learning scenario content).
- Off-the-shelf digital learning content: Researching topics from scratch (with no SME input), setting learning objectives and writing digital learning content scripts (mainly e-learning but may also include Virtual Reality (VR) learning scenarios and Games-Based Learning)
- Bespoke digital learning content: Working with clients’ subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand their learning requirements and write/script engaging learning content
- Analysing and applying trends and best practices in learning technologies and instructional design
- Writing engaging activities and scenarios that enhance the learning process (within Word document templates)
- Devising modes of assessment to measure the effectiveness of the course
- Focus is on writing voiceover content within Word document templates; also involves visualising instructional graphics and relaying course design ideas and requirements to the team of Learning Content Developers
- Project managing the end-to-end learning lifecycle for generic ‘off-the-shelf’ and bespoke products
- Involvement in the industry body accreditation/approval process for off-the-shelf products

- Ideally, extensive working knowledge of health, safety, environmental and technical subjects related to the Energy Industry or other safety critical industries
- Flexibility to adapt writing style to align with in-house style guide and requirements is essential
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent grasp of the English language
- Extensive experience in instructional design within the Energy Industry is desirable
- In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
