An exciting new MRP Specialist role has arisen within our clients business. You will play a crucial role in driving the MRP process, collaborating with an external consultant to ensure the successful implementation of MRP into the Sage 200 finance and business management system. The client is willing to pay the market rate for this specialist, hence why there is no salary advertised. During the initial six-month probation, office hours are 9 to 5 with some flexibility, after which hybrid working will be considered.

So, what could a normal day consist of?
- Maintaining a relationship with Sage consultants and internal super users
-
Material planning and inventory management
-
Utilising the MRP system to analyse demand forecasts, production schedules, and inventory levels
-
Generating and maintaining accurate bills of materials and production schedules
-
Collaborating with the procurement team to issue purchase orders for required materials
-
Monitoring and tracking purchase orders to ensure timely delivery
-
Analysing material usage patterns, lead times, and supplier performance for process improvements and cost savings

The successful candidate for this MRP Specialist role should be able to demonstrate a proven track record of using an MRP system, ideally but not essentially, into a manufacturing business. You will need to have strong communication and interpersonal skills, be able to understand Sage 200, and possess experience in material planning and inventory management. Additionally, you should have strong knowledge of MRP systems and their functionality, be proficient in using spreadsheet and data analysis tools, and have the ability to adapt to changing priorities. For every two years of service, an extra day of holiday will be awarded, and employees who have not taken any sick days after the first year will receive an additional six days of leave.
