We're currently looking for an experienced Site Supervisor / Gateman to work with our long term and trusted partner, on an NHS LINAC Bunker project in Plymouth. This is a live construction site. Medical linear accelerators (LINACs) are frequently used to treat cancer patients. These LINACs are located inside bunkers. The bunker's main purpose is to contain the radiation produced by the LINAC, such that the people outside the bunker do not suffer from radiation-induced illnesses.Our client is a leading UK building, infrastructure, engineering and fit out company. They deliver vital projects across a range of sectors including health, education, highways, justice, defence, aviation, water and environment. As a UK regional contractor, they provide specialist design and build capabilities and are experienced at project management and integrating all aspects of a project. With over 130 years of experience in the construction and engineering sector, they are a trusted partner of central and local government and are used to working closely with their customers and supply chain to achieve outstanding results.Key duties:
- Maintaining a secure site

Being responsible for unlocking & locking site

Attending daily briefings
-
Vehicle marshalling & ensuring that all deliveries are adhering to the sites special guidance

Liaising with S/Cs
-
Maintaining and updating daily Records and site diary
- Enforcing 5-point PPE and carrying out regular inspections

Liaising with NHS staff & Traffic marshals
-
Daily Reporting to the senior site team

Ensuring work is conducted in a safe manner, and in compliance with HSE standards and legislations.
Requirements

Must have experience as Site Supervisor / Gateman within a similar role, with similar responsibilities.

Previous experience on a similar live construction project is preferred (Hospitals, NHS, Healthcare centres, LINAC bunkers)

CSCS gold / white / black card

SSSTS / SMSTS
-
First Aid
-
CITB Health and Safety
-
Relevant degree or HND / HNC qualification

Knowledge of CDM regulations & building regulations (preferred)

DBS check within last 6 months (we can carry this out for you upon offer if you don't already have one)

Must have excellent communication and organisation skills.
