About the Role
In this post, you will play a role in the design, delivery and evaluation of the midwifery curriculum and be involved in teaching across the entire midwifery portfolio, including relevant and appropriate continuing professional development (CPD) provision. You will be expected to have recent experience in an academic role and/or significant recent, healthcare practice experience in midwifery.

About You
You will be an appropriately qualified midwife, with Nursing & Midwifery Council registration to accompany this. You will also possess significant practice-based/academic experience underpinned by a sound working knowledge of the contemporary professional landscape.
Ideally, you will have relevant HEI experience, underpinned by a sound working knowledge of contemporary issues in midwifery, with a high level of awareness of the interprofessional agenda. It would be advantageous to have experience of research activity and publications.
You will be an enthusiastic, innovative, and engaging professional with significant teaching/practice experience, able to deliver high quality teaching to our students. You will have an effective communication & leadership style and possess excellent interpersonal skills. Time and workload management skills are a key requirement to this post and having a strong commitment to the welfare and success of students will be key to your success in a growing department.
