Are you passionate about patientcare? We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Biomedical Scientist with HCPC registration to work in our fast-paced laboratory.
We will also consider those working towards their HCPC registration who have an IBMS accredited degree. Those who have already completed their specialist portfolio will be eligible for a Band 6 post.
The successful candidate will be part of the Microbiology team performing scientific procedures and result interpretation on biological samples to contribute to the diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of diseases and the investigation of other pathological processes.
Rotation throughout the laboratory will be expected and training will be provided. The laboratory has core hours of 08:00 - 16:30 but provides 24/7 cover via extended hours and an on-call service. Once successful training is complete, the successful candidate will be expected to participate in extended hours and the weekend, Bank holiday and on-call rotas.
