The Department of Political Science is looking to hire one full-time Research Assistant or Research Fellow. The position will run from 01 September 2023 to 31 August 2024.
The salary will be on the UCL Grade 6B Research Assistant £35,702-37,548 per annum (inclusive of London Allowance) / Research Fellow Grade 7 £39,508-43,792 per annum (inclusive of London Allowance).
The position is part of the Human Rights Nudge Project, funded by the European Research Council and led by Dr Veronika Fikfak.
The main purpose is to establish how we can deter and minimise violations of human rights in the future.

The post requires a Master's degree for a Research Assistant position. We are also open to different subjects like Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Social Science and other technical discipline, with a significant component of programming and/or data science.
For the Research Fellow position, the position requires academic qualifications PhD, JSD or equivalent degree in the same areas as for the research assistant position.
Experience in computer modelling and an understanding and knowledge of programming language appropriate for the development of agent-based models (R, Python etc) including statistical methods would be needed.
Previous experience working in the legal/social sciences domain and as part of a team is considered an asset.
You will need to demonstrate a clear potential to deliver high quality peer-reviewed research publications.
Emphasis on the applicant's skills and research potential, as well as the ability to work in a team will be assessed.
