You will:
As the Junior Designer, you will be creating impactful designs across various platforms, including web, graphics, video, and stills. You have a passion for pushing creative boundaries and are constantly seeking new and innovative ways to enhance our customer-centric content and user experience. You will also have knowledge of industry-standard software such as Adobe CC and Figma and a keen focus on user-centric design and practices.
Proficient of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and Premiere Pro. Creating GIFs and animation is expected.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Competent and confident in Figma is a must.
- A good understanding of video development and formatting.
- Attention to detail is essential.
- A good knowledge of packaging design.
- Ability to generate photography and/or video assets on your own.
- Ensure you have the relevant experience of all software programs and constantly update your skills as required.
- HTML/CSS experience is desirable.
- Graphic Design degree or related with some commercial work experience within a similar role / brand.
- Good UX and UI design knowledge with experience areas of wireframing etc.
- Bonus - skilled in designing and animating enriched content marketing for online web and paid media.
- Have up to date knowledge of web design, mobile first, responsive design and technology trends.
- Great layout and typography skills, with a meticulous eye for detail and ability to easily liaise digital artwork creation to achieve the desired result.
- Strong portfolio.
Hybrid (1 - 2 days per week); most of the time on-site only once per week with 4 days remote.
Will need own Laptop and licence for Adobe Photoshop.
Pay rate to freelancer is 120 per day MAX via UMB. Ideally looking for someone with roughly a year of experience if possible for a .com in a similar space. This role works out to be about 30k equivalent which is brilliant for a junior with less than 12months exp.
You must be able to start ASAP and work for at least 6 months with the option to extend.
