Set within a safe and therapeutic environment, the Priory Hospital Dewsbury is a 32 bedded locked service, supporting two different service user groups:
- Hartley Ward focuses upon the active rehabilitation of men with mental health issues. The emphasis is upon stabilising mental health, reducing risks and enhancing independent living skills, with a view to reintegration into the community. This is a 22 bed ward.
- Jubilee Ward supports men detained under the Mental Health Act 1983 with dementia, and behaviours that challenge. This is a 10 bed ward

The Priory Hospital Dewsbury offers specialised care for those with Dementia and complex mental health needs. We are situated in between Leeds and Bradford, in the heart of beautiful West Yorkshire.
You will be joining the Occupational Therapy team at an exciting time of service transformation, as we continue to develop new ways to support each and every patient on an individual basis.
There’s no such thing as a typical day in Occupational Therapy, with a range of activities on offer, you might find yourself running a trip to the cinema on one day, and leading a messy painting session the next! The possibilities are endless, and anyone with a creative mind and interest in patient care will thrive in this role.
We also welcome applications from Occupational Therapist trainees and those with previous experience in patient therapy. It is an exciting time to join us here at the Priory, and every member of the team makes a real difference to the lives of our patients.
