Saltire Patisserie , part of Saltire Hospitality Ltd, is a premier supplier of high quality breads and patisserie to the food service industry in Edinburgh and nearby areas.
We are looking for a part time bakery driver to join our delivery team, located in our bakery unit at Loanhead, just outside of Straiton. As a driver you will play a huge part in producing a high quality service for customers of Saltire Patisserie. Immediate start available!
The candidate will be required to work efficiently to tight delivery deadlines to ensure customer satisfaction, targets and service targets are adhered to in line with our values and behaviors.
They must provide great customer service to carry out deliveries in a professional, positive manner towards the role.
This is an hourly position, the candidate will be required to work roughly 12-20 hours per week, please note that we are looking for someone who can be flexible with hours Monday-Sunday, however we can offer flexibility. Early mornings are an essential part of the work. Approx shift times 5am-11am (twice a week) with additional hours available.

What to expect in this position/what we are looking for:
- The candidate will be required to work efficiently to tight deadlines to ensure customer satisfaction, targets and service targets are adhered. Great care is required when handling all bakery goods.
- Great customer service to carry out deliveries in a professional, positive manner is essential at all times. A positive and helpful attitude towards customers and colleagues.
- Liaise with customers in case of any issues (ensuring this is delivered to the correct drop off point).
- You will be delivering bread, cakes and associated products to customers of Saltire Patisserie.
- Plan delivery routes, minimising mileage where possible and adhering to customer delivery times.
- Assisting with packing of bread and cakes in accordance to order sheets, including delivery notes and invoices where required.
- Working with all departments within company.
- Keep the vehicle in use clean, tidy and well cared for ensuring it is ready to be used the following day. This includes daily inspections of the van and vehicle reporting.
- General tasks, keeping packing area clean and tidy, sweeping crates etc.
