We have permanent positions for hardworking, motivated individuals to join the Domestic Services Team at The Countess of Chester Hospital. The vacancies are for the following shifts working: -
Monday to Friday 7.30am - 1pm (27.5 hours)
Monday to Friday 1pm to 8pm (32.5 hours)
Monday to Friday 2pm to 10pm (37.5 hours)
Or
Saturday and Sunday 7.30am – 1pm (11 hours)
Saturday and Sunday 1pm - 8pm (13 hours)

These posts are designed to assist with providing a full range of cleaning duties, 7 days a week in a hospital/healthcare environment.
The domestic department maintains very high standards. After completing full training, the successful candidates will be expected to carry out the full range of domestic duties. These include cleaning bathrooms, toilets, ward areas, emptying bins, replenishing soap dispensers, hand towels, sanitisers and serving drinks to patients.
To maintain a clean and hygienic environment for patients, staff and visitors in line with National Standards of Cleanliness. Establish and maintain good working relationships and clear line of communication with Supervisors, Ward Teams, Departmental staff, Patients and Visitors. The domestic assistant will be a member of the healthcare team providing a comprehensive service to the patients care and well-being.
The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust consists of a 600 bedded large District General Hospital, which provides its services on the Countess of Chester Health Park, and a 64 bedded Intermediate Care Service at Ellesmere Port Hospital.
The Trust provides services in all of the surgical and medical specialties common to a District General Hospital with some specialist services. The Trust serves the whole of the local population currently in excess of 250,000 residents which geographically covers populations in England and North Wales.

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £23 (standard) or £43 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first three months of employment.
You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. A small annual fee of £13 per year applies.
New entrants to the NHS will commence on the minimum of the scale stated above.
