The UK IT Desktop Build engineer role is to primarily support the UK Desktop Team with the ongoing Tech refresh where we replace any Laptops, Desktop and Workstations that are over 4 years old. There will also be an element of 2nd line Desktop support work. The primary work location will be in Ampthill, Bedfordshire but with possible occasional travel to other locations within the UK. This position requires a customer focused hands-on technical engineer with the ability to multi-task in a high-paced environment.
You will provide day-to-day delivery of technical support for end-users of client applications, VOIP telephones, smartphones, tablets, printers and computer hardware.
Duties include, but are not limited to:

Resolve incidents & requests using Service Central whilst adhering to agreed SLAs where possible

Assist with maintaining the asset tracking system when required

Participate in project work as required such as software and hardware refresh programmes

Deploy, maintain and support iOS devices

Write, update and maintain written processes and procedures

Travel to support other sites within the UK where required
