Salary over 23’s £13,004.16
21-22 £12,704.64
18 – 20 £9,347.52

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic person to work in the warehouse of Redwings Horse Sanctuary on a permanent contract, based at our Hapton HQ, South of Norwich.
The post holder will process the Sanctuary’s donated items, receive, sort, and prepare the Sanctuary’s donated goods for sale adhering to guidance from the Retail Development Manager and our Standard Operating Procedures. Manage sales of donated items on eBay. Taking responsibility for maximising income opportunities for donated new and pre-loved tack.
Due to the remoteness of our Hapton HQ site, all applicants would need their own transport.

JOB PURPOSE
Receive, sort and prepare the Sanctuary’s Preloved donations for sale adhering to guidance from our Standard Operating Procedures. Manage sales of Preloved items on eBay and shop, maximising income opportunities for donated new and preloved items. To welcome visitors, introduce them to the charity’s work and help to generate income. Encourage support and donations through promotional and fundraising activities and events.
DUTIES
Preloved
- Ensure all preloved items in and out are processed and recorded in line with our Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ensure the Sanctuary’s Preloved items are stored in a safe and organised manner.
- Prepare images and listings for eBay. Monitor sales and respond to any queries from Retail and Preloved Assistant at Hapton
- Print address labels and despatch sales within the agreed time limit.
- Ensure the best and most cost-effective method of packing and postage is used.
- Despatch goods via the most appropriate routing and complete Royal Mail and courier documentation, highlighting special collections when required.
- Continually monitor preloved displays in the shop and windows, maintain stock levels comply with all related paperwork and procedures.
Working with colleagues to:
- With other Team Members, the Team Leader and Visitor Centre Manager to communicate openly, honestly and effectively, ensuring information and messages are passed along in an appropriate manner.
- With Trading colleagues to adhere to best practice with regard to Preloved gift procedures, the EPOS till system.

- Evidence of a good standard of general education and computer literacy in word and excel.
Experience
Skills/Ability/Knowledge
Ability to prioritise daily tasks. Have keen attention to detail and accuracy. Strong IT skills. Strong communications skills, both written and verbal. Excellent literacy and numeracy. Effective time management skills.Physically fit with ability to lift and carry and be on your feet all day whilst working at the Visitor Centre/supporting events. Research Skills.
