More About The Role
We are a large distribution company based in Preston with our own in-house and on-site printing department and we are looking for an Apprentice Flexographic Printer with an eagerness to learn and keen attention to detail to work alongside a small but experienced team who take pride in their work and the products that they produce.

Full training is provided with our fully funded apprenticeships after which you will be a fully qualified Flexographic Printer. As an Apprentice Flexographic Printer, you can be expected to-
Complete NVQ Level 3 in Machine Printing-
Learn to operate a seven colour KDO Flexographic Printer

Monitor and control printing press to obtain maximum quality

Set and mount plates, set gears and print cylinders, set print dies

Complete job ticket documentation

Work well within a team to meet short deadlines

Ensure machines are maintained to a good working order

Report any issues to line management

Adhere to correct Health and Safety procedures
A Few Things About You

We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high levels or accuracy at all times

GCSE 4-9 or equivalent required in Maths and English

A willingness to learn about all aspects of Flexographic Printing

You will possess a good attention to detail and have an ability to be

self-motivated and organised

You will have a pro-active, positive and enthusiastic attitude

Ability to work on your own initiative as well as in a team

You will be required to maintain good attendance and time keeping
